THE SUPPORT SA TALENT™ PROJECT was spearheaded in 2017 by PROTOUCH – #1 Continental Team in Africa – to recognise South African Road Cycling talent and create a platform upon which, to build funding opportunities for top performing Athletes.
In partnership with Streamline Brands (best known for its DEL FORNO Restaurant chain) the SUPPORT SA TALENT PROJECT includes:
The DEL FORNO NATIONAL ROAD CYCLING SERIES – which tracks and ranks over 1 000 athletes, across 20 road cycling events annually – and, recognises and awards talent [across 14 categories] at the annual Awards Event, hosted by Phil Liggett;
Our DEL FORNO VIRTUAL RACING SERIES – launched during Covid-19 Lockdown, in 2020 the Series had over 260 registered South African riders, who participated in 17-weeks of competition, using our own registered event on the Zwift Platform – this will commence again in Winter 2021;
Our newly-launched SUPPORT SA TALENT MARKETPLACE – where cycling enthusiasts can access preferentially-priced products (10% off site-wide) when they use the PROTOUCH coupon code at check out and, 10 – 15% rebates are paid into The Phil Liggett Foundation.
We have a range of new SUPPORT SA TALENT initiatives planned for 2021 and beyond, including the introduction of the new DEL FORNO PRO RACING LEAGUE – an exciting new format of TEAM RACING and a broadcast rights property and much more…
